This is our Country.....

Yes Yolanda- This is our country and both sides need to focus on that!  Thank you for speaking out. 

Yolanda, almost cannot watch the news because it is always about the parties up in arms.

Like little kids in a school yard fighting for the best positions.  Their priorities are all selfish.  I voted against all the incumbents last election just to try and get fresh faces there

You are right, it is amazing to watch grown up have hissy fits and tantrums.. What is wrong with them?

Yolanda, what's been amazing is how this has created some new voices coming together, like some of the businesses who are pushing back against the immigration executive order...Starbucks, Google, just to name two. Our Oregon governor, Kate Brown has declared us a sanctuary state. 

I am fascinated by those willing to speak up. Good for you. 

Amen to this message, Yolanda! I don't think those politicians have a clue how sick we "regular" Americans are of them. Do we need term limits or what?

Yes, this is our country.  And, I have grave concerns for its future, based on how our so called "leaders" are running it.  There is a path toward a cure.  It's by overturning "Citizens United."  Citizens United is the Supreme Court rulling that states corporations are people too, and can give untold and often hidden money to political campaigns.  Often that money goes to a political party, and the party bosses keep candidates "in line" by holding the purse stings if they don't toe the party platform.  It has fractured this nation, and made it nearly impossible for Congress to reach across the aisle to work with one another!

And, I won't believe that corporations are people too, unless the execute one in the state of California!

Good morning Yolanda. Beautiful pictures but I disagree with you otherwise. We the people are in charge, and when there is a tyrant and his cronnies ignore us we must stand and resist.

Very well said my friend, too many agendas that need to be satisfied, rather than just working together to truly make the country all that it should be.

Our country is going to veer to and fro with Presidential and mid-term elections until both sides do listen to each other.  I believe our current President has the best interests of the people in mind, but the media sold a ton of folks the line that he is dangerous and they can't see him any other way.  So sad.

Yolanda, The bickering continues and as you said is eroding this country and further splitting us into groups who totally dislike each other. Term limits and changes to how the Presidential candidate of all parties is selected would be a step in the right direction I think. 

Yes many of us are tired of it all. Our country needs leaders that lead and not quarrel all the time.

I hope the actions of the leadership will encourage more people to vote at the future elections.
