Today my husband and I went exploring in our own backyard! A short distance away from home is the lovely little town of Clifton Virginia in Fairfax county. A horse lover and country girl I enjoyed the scenic ride and was surprised how quickly I felt we had left busy Fairfax behind. Rolling fields, horse farms, wooded lots and a mix of historic, majestic, and family homes in the surrounding area. This area comes complete with parks, nearby county golf course, reservoir with walking trails cute shops and a few fine spots for lunch.
Partial to Pizza try Villagio - wow what a cool backyard they have! ( think Spring) .
We ate at The Main Street Pub, great service atmosphere, and my husband was happy with his Blue Mountain Brewery Beer Glass they gave him! While we ate the train went by and we could see it from our table and hear the whistle. The grill cheese and chili looked amazing. I had a delicious pear salad and ohh they have some interesting winter libations! Main Street Pub is not what you expect - go in and try it... A great afternoon! Check out Clifton!
