Want to be in by summer? The time to buy is now!

Everyone wants to be in by summer before the school year starts? You need to start looking yesterday if you are planning to build a home. Also, before you start shopping make sure you have set your budget and have spoken to a loan officer and know all your expenses, so you will not waste any time. It takes a good builder about 6 months to build...those with little to resources take much longer to build in the current market in the Houston area. So be careful if it is an average size house and telling you 7-8 months!



Decide the area and start looking, do so now while lot choices are still good and before interest rates rise. If you are looking to buy a home with David Weekley in the Towne Lake area give me a call at 281-804-9265.

This is very good advice to share with prospective home buyers. It is also smart to lock in a low mortgage interest rate.

Hi Yolanda... was just talking about that the other day with someone... the days of homes being finished in 4-5 months are long gone here. An average sized home is 6-7 and if it's larger and more custom, easily 8-9.

People should not think of a a buying season so much as looking at what is available that may suit their needs.  There are too many things that can delay a purchase naturally to create a time-line that may not get satisfied
