I know, I know. Hard to believe two DIY projects in the same week. Probably all I will have for the year. This project required ZERO tools. That is correct ZERO tools.
The idea that you can transform a room with a do it yourself project brings such excitement to me and know that I dont have to worry about it falling out of the ceiling or not turning on when I hit the light switch is amazing in itself. Unfortunately when I bought my Aurora CO home, I was not able to add pendant lights. Too far into the construction phase for me to make any changes. Everytime I enter my kitchen I would think, "I wish I could have added those pendant lights". Yes, I called an electrician and the cost and headache of cutting into the ceiling etc was nothing I wanted to tackle at this moment. Then BAM!!! If stumbled upon screw in pendant lights. What an amazing concept. Several sights have these wonderful lights, I found mine at worthhp.com
From this:
Your standard recessed can light that most builders opt for as a standard feature throughout your home. Now, If you can literally screw in a light bulb then you can transform any recessed light to this in seconds. Really, however long it takes you to unscrew and screw in a new lightbulb is all it takes.
Voila!!!!!
What a difference it makes when you walk in the kitchen. I have hund a few of these over the kitchen island and it looks so different. A few minutes and you have completely transformed your kitchen without hiring anyone else to do this. Just be careful not to fall off the counter. If you have been wanting to tackle your own DIY projects and the landlord will not allow, then you should be searching for your own Colorado Home. If you have tried and need assistance with no down payment or Rent to Own, I can help you as well.
