Winter Beauty in Carlsbad California

We took a walk around our neighborhood last night as the sun was setting and enjoyed some of the winter beauty in Carlsbad, namely all these beautiful flowers,  bushes and trees.

The daffodils were always such a welcome sight back in New England as spring arrived, and we enjoy them here as well, although they are far less common because of our weather! One of the things we have enjoyed since living here is the beautiful greenery and flowers all year round - things are particularly nice now after all the rain we have had.

Nice flowers! I'm enjoying ours, too. I've been admiring beautiful red camellias of an especially nice flower shape on my walks lately.

Jeff Dowler - Your California landscape is so beautiful and you have a variety of plants and flowers of many colors, shapes, and sizes. Plus, you even get the exotic ones, like Bird of Paradise! When I see flowers, I get happy. It would be fun to live in a place where you can wake up to happiness every day of your life!

For anyone wanting to buy or sell, I highly recommend Jeff!

One of my favorite things about spring is seeing my daffodils and tulips start popping through the dirt, and when they bloom I know Spring is finally in the air.  I don't know what any of those other flowers are, but they are lovely.  I especially like orange, purple, red & green one.  Is that the birds of paradise everyone is talking about? I've never even heard of that before....pretty..-Kasey

Hi Jeff -- while I can rarely identify flora or fauna, I do enjoy the sights we get to experience year-round.   Great photos.
