Active Rain Readers:

Today's the 4th installment in my series on creating "viral" Pinterest pins. I'll be giving you THREE great idea's on creating original memes.

You can also see my post the Top 50  real estate memes of all time.  Yhat is the SOLE driver for the results you see below.

This is a snapshot of 1 weeks worth of Social traffic taken 2/13/2017.

I recommend you read the first three installments of this series.

ARTICLE ONE Creating Viral Pinterest Pins

ARTICLE TWO Researching Viral Pinterest Pins

ARTICLE THREE Taking an existing IMAGE and turning it into a Viral Meme

Hopefully, I have your attention.  Once again I'm going to jump in and keep it simple.

IDEA #1 USE EXISTING VIRAL IMAGES TO INSPIRE YOUR MEME TEXT.

Hot image on image flip

The meme generators I listed the previous post have a "hot" or popular section of their tool. This will show you images that are already being used for VIRAL memes. Often there is a theme to the image itself. Liam Neeson in Taken was a viral IMAGE at the time I created my real estate memes. It wasn't a huge leap to use his signature phrase in the movie and apply it to the meme. The meme in question just surpassed 1000 repins.

IDEA #2 Take a popular saying and ADAPT it to real estate.

My example, in this case, is a saying that just about every sales trainer has said to every class they have ever given. SALES IS A CONTACT SPORT. Here is how it was adapted using an original image for real estate. This is a NEW pin so who knows if it will take off. I like it :-).

IDEA #3 USE HARDCOVER BOOKS FOR INSPIRATION

One of my biggest frustrations as a blogger is the amount of information that is MISSING from the online sphere. When I was researching for a recent post on inspirational real estate quotes I was shocked to discover the same information over and over. Trainers like Tom Hopkins simply didn't have a lot online. And he was the ORIGINAL real estate sales trainer. I have no idea's what quotes or tactics I might discover and use for a meme. It's been too long since I read his real estate stuff. Have an author that has a quote or a byline you like? USE IT. You might be surprised to discover no one else has.

Hope I got the juices flowing this morning.

Good luck.

OMG, I remember Tom Hopkins!! I think he was one of the first to mention writing thank you notes, if I'm not mistaken. He was quite inspirational for those of us working sales in the 80s, I think it was.

Ok, so you're going to think I'm an idiot...but I do not really understand the "meme" thing. Can you expound on that?

a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users.
