Life on Haiku Maui is not so bad. It is the tropical side of the island, so we get more rain than say Wailea which is desert. We been having pristine weather lately, sunny with Kona Winds blowing which is perfect for Haiku. I love spending time in my yard with my wife and dogs, Last Sunday was a prefect day, we live on 2.5 acres for the last 26 years and planted every plant on the property.
I was strolling around my property with Mia my 9 month old Italian Mastiff, she love giving me a hand carrying branches. Well as I was checking my fruit trees I notice I had four stocks of bananas going off. If I don't cut them down the birds will eat them, or they will just fall off the trees. So I grabbed my saw and start cutting down the trees. Next step is cutting up the stocks and that's where my wife come in.
My wife Ivy loves working in the yard, she is an artist and loves to see blooming flowers through out the yard. So she was saying what are we going to do with all these bananas. Lets see, there is smoothies, banana bread, you can dip them in chocolate for Valentine's Day, I always like to munch a few before I head out to surf. But we had bananas coming out of our ears. So today we are passing out boxes of bananas to friends. Usually we have bumper crops of oranges, so there is not shortage of people that love fresh fruit. So all in all it was a great day. Life on Maui's northshore is the best. so if you need bananas or a Realtor keep me in mind
