When you see a sign like that it makes you take notice right? So when EVERYONE on tv, on the radio, on all social media outlets says don't text and drive AND gives you plenty of terrifying video and pictures of accidents that have happened while this is going on why do people continue to do it? I'm sure that all of the people involved in those accidents thought, "It won't happen to me - it only happens to other people."
Now the "big thing" is making videos while driving. It has been proven over and over. When you are texting and/or making videos you are not looking at the road. According to www.distraction.gov, "Five seconds is the average time your eyes are off the road while texting. When traveling at 55mph, that's enough time to cover the length of a football field blindfolded".

If you must make a video or text someone while in your car, pull over and make your video or send your text then drive on and allow yourself and those you may have come in contact with, literally, while texting or making your all important video, to live another day. Your family and theirs will appreciate it.
