My wife and I really enjoying going to the many wineries here in the Boise, Idaho area. We are very fortunate to have two American Viticultural Areas (AVA's) to choose from. The first to be established was the Snake River Valley AVA in 2007. Then, in November 2015, the Eagle Foothills AVA was authorized. We actually have a third now, the Lewis-Clark Valley AVA!
Some wine snobs can't even grasp the idea that Idaho produce great wines. They can't imagine we are a growing wine region with over 50 wineries to choose from and adding more.

Today, my wife and I will be heading to the Sunnyslope Wine District and picking up my quarterly shipment from Fujishin Family Cellars and enjoy some fresh fruit and cheesecake (thanks to being a member of their wine club). We will probably stop by and check out the new tasting room at https://www.koenigvineyards.com/ and/or Williamson Orchards and Vineyards too.
We can't wait for the summer concert series to start up again this spring at Ste Chappelle Winery. As Sawtooth Winery builds their new facility on the adjacent hillside, they will be adding an outdoor amphatheater for future concerts as well.
As the owner/broker of Progressive Realty Corporation, I have joined several wine clubs in the area so I can bring my clients in for tastings and to get good discounts on their wines which I also give away for various charity events and client closing gifts. Cheers!
