Google Translate is a great tool - learn to use it!

I was reading a few real estate blogs on this morning and saw one posted that I would have bet was spam since it was written in a foreign language.  Fortunately, I recognized the language and a few words.

Vietnamese real estate blog

Since I started Kindergarten in Vietnam back in about 1966 at the Phoenix Study Group, it felt appropriate to have to take a crash course in Vietnamese again to learn more about this.

I opened another tab

Google Translating Vietnamese to English

That was pretty easy, so I went down to the body of the blog and cut and pasted, the next section...

Google Translating Vietnamese to English 2

With the assistance of Google Translate, I found a nice "relaxing place - where happiness is fullest."

You can even use Google Translate app on your cell phone.  If you meet someone that doesn't speak your language, they can speak into your phone and it will translate to your language audibly and in text.

I have had clients from Bosnia, Mexico, Iraq, Vietnam and others.  It is pretty useful.  When Facebook tells you one of your friends (that happens to be from another country) is having a birthday, why not use Google Translate to learn how to wish them a Happy Birthday in their native language.  They will really appreciate the extra effort you took to prove you are a real friend!

Jim I saw this post as well and thought - huh?  Spam or not but it seemed like it was descriping a home or condo.  I like google translate - I didn't know about it - thanks for pointing it out to all of us!

Anna Banana Kruchten I have it installed as an app on my phone too.  You never know when you might need it.  It is obviously a Google product, so not sure if Apple has anything like it.

It is one of the many great tools Google gives you. We swear by Google Travel also.

Joe Pryor I will have to check into Google Travel.  I used to subscribe to lots of airline emails for sales, but unsubscribed since they pretty much just post their 2-3 week out pricing randomly and never seem to have last minute deals anymore.
