Having an Online Presence
Realtor.com, Movoto.com, Homes.com, Trulia.com. Zillow.com, Yelp & Zillow reviews, My own website. I have received leads from them some times more often than I think at no cost. If you get them free why I should be a paid agent?
This is not to mention that Silvar, Google+, Linkenin, Mapquest, Google review, Huliq, Forum, Pintest, Alignable and Youtube are not important. They all contribute getting more clicks and getting your name in a higher position.
Social Media is a newer avenue to get your name out there. People will make an effort to view your listings. A lower percentage of leads come this way from social media.
All in one celluar telephone
I did not think I can justify a smart phone before. But after missing a call on the multi-million dollars estate buyer I realize I need a better tool. So I got a iPhone 7.
This is also where I accept orders from banks, clients orders on the go. Calander, appointments come directly. The Waze guides me where I want to go. The camera allows me to leave my Nikon at home. The flash light and calculator both allow me to quickly do my work without looking for all tools that I used to carry. When I inspect a house attic or crawl space the phone flash light becomes handy without to look for the one in my trunk.
Email phones data are stored on my smart phone. It has the intelligence to identify phone numbers from eMails which makes the searching job easier.
DigiSign is also a useful tool I am not a fan to pay for subcriptions as keeping track of them and overcharge is often a concern.
Text-That appears to be an excellent source to feed terse information without needing to talk to a live person. You want to be close to clients but wish to have a life.
In my trunk I have a box containing the following:
A hardcopy map of the region-San Francisco Bay Area Map, farming cards, Riders, Solds, Coming soon, Too Late(stolen), business cards, open house signs, a For Sale Post, a durable hammer, my tool bag consists of assortment of small tools, electric circuit tester, drill, an assortment of Supra; and combination locks. I often carry my For Sale Post to install it myself.
I aslo stock Windex, WD-40, extra $ changes(for hungary parking meters), towel, flash light, painter's paint color codes. A 100 ft long tape-measure. When they have a sale I stock smoke detectors, batteries. I also throw a couple of snacks and bottle water as our meal time being unpredictable. I trashed my old army blanket and a snow shovel finally.
Lately, I acquired a wheel based linear measurement that can measure up to 999 lineal feet. Boy, do I look professional? I will not bore you with how much I paid for it.
