For most people, the purchase of a home is the largest single investment in their lifetime. There are many complex aspects of a residential and commercial real estate transaction, which make a real estate agent imperative in having the process go smoothly and effectively. A realtor is a service provider to their clients in residential and commercial real estate needs. Whether it is in transition or relocation, a realtor can help you every step of the way. Here are 5 things a realtor really does.
1. NEGOTIATOR
Have you ever met a realtor? They are typically outgoing and friendly (if they aren’t, you may want to keep looking!), but firm. This is someone whom you want working on your behalf when trying to stay in your budget! It can be stressful to negotiate a home, so leave it to the experts!

2. PROBLEM SOLVER
When you are adding in all the people involved in the selling or purchasing of a house, there are bound to be problems. A transaction may involve the counsel of an attorney for legal advice, an accountant for financial and tax advice, a mortgage lender to finance the transaction, an appraisal required by most bank loans, a professional home inspector, an insurance agent, and a title company to prepare the closing documents and record the deed. With all of these people, you need someone working on your behalf to coordinate everyone and solve the problems that may arise.

3. PROVIDE MARKET ADVICE AND KNOW THE MARKET TRENDS
There’s a lot more to the housing market then high season being summer and low season being winter. Agents are able to provide you with the advice needed to make educated decisions in the buying or selling of your house.
