Littleton Stony Creek Planning Commission Meeting

Here at Stony Creek Littleton, we’re so close to the beauty of the foothills and mountains, parks, reservoir, recreation, bike trails, etc. and that’s one of the reasons that we moved here. We truly find peace and enjoyment from the area we’ve chosen to live in. As growth continues in Colorado and the Metro-Denver area, what was once on the outskirts of the metro area has turned into a coveted area for growth and development. We have a wonderful parks and recreation community with Foothills Parks and Recreation Department which of course requires money to survive and function well. They currently own several parcels of land where no development is allowed and deemed “Open Space”. At this time, they are looking at selling certain parcels of land to developers which can then become commercialized. The current land they are looking at selling is on the corner of Wadsworth Blvd. and Columbine Dr. There will be a Planning Commission meeting held this evening, Wednesday the 22nd at 6:15 at the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Building in Hearing Room 1 for those who would like to share their thoughts. If you are unable to attend please email your concerns to Mike Madrid who is with Jefferson County Planning and Zoning, at mmadrid@jeffco.us.
