It's Simple...

Pam & I are excited today.

Why, you say?

It's simple.

Today we are having Artisan Flooring, in Groveland, MA coming by to install our new Mannington bathroom floor!

Then Mark Jr. Plumbing will install a new Kohler Cimarron commode...the 16½" tall version. 1.28 gallons per flush. Or, should I say "Power Flush?"

You see, Pam & I are taking one project at a time to update our home or as we call it...age-proofing the place.

A few months ago we had Mr. Tub, in Groveland, install a walk-in shower with a fold-down seat and hand held shower handle.

We look for warranties that are 25 years. Now, we have no intention of moving, but, we want the place as maintenance free as possible. We figure, in 25 years it'll be someone else's problem anyhow. LOL

Updating your home is important no matter how old you are. By doing so you maintain the value and condition of your property. Updating will usually bring to light things that are in need of repair that you don't know about...until the work uncovers it.

Enjoy your home and treat it well.

Always exciting to upgrade the home. I just finished my bathroom. Added the same toilet, new floor and a double sink, i had a single before. Nice that it is done but did a lot all at once which was not fun Doug Dawes

Good for you, Doug. I hope it all goes well. It's so much easier to take things a step at a time, I think, rather than doing it all at once, and not waiting until you have no choice!

Hi Scott Godzyk

I am not handy at all BUT I know enough to remove a commode. Saves a little $$

It's a good feeling to get things done and have them new. It also brings us into the 21st century...lol

Might as well update and enjoy the benefits. Always surprised by owners who have not maintained a home and then get annoyed when items arise which cut the value of their home post sale in the home inspection. It is like a car, or yourself, it needs looking after.

Hi Nick & Trudy Vandekar

It is interesting when some homeowners think the value of their home should be equal to the value of their neighbors who maintained their home.
