Why I LOVE My Job.

February's contest asks us to write a blog why we love our job. That is probably the easiest blog contest ever.
Firstly, it is not a job. It is a career where one can
make dreams come true. Am I a fairy godmother? Nope, but I sure feel like one every time I am able to help a buyer or a seller fulfill their wishes and dreams. I sprinkle my fairy dust spell on those who seek out my advice and help. Some of my dream catchers need a little nudge, and others need a few extra sprinkles. I have been practicing my aim for the last decade and I been aiming quite accurately in latter years.
I have seen all kinds of dream catchers. First-time homebuyers are my favorite. They are as young as a young puppy. Full of energy, enthusiasm and ready for action. However, I typically have to pull the rope slightly tight, so they don't get themselves loose or out on the dangerous street on their own. With a little training, patience, and control, the result is priceless. Nothing compares when I can hand them the key to their new dream home. We are creating joy, happiness and family memories for years to come. It is a huge responsibility when I can find them the right HOUSE.
I sprinkled my dream home dust spell last year onto a family who lost their home during the last recession. They put so much love and personal touches to their Corona house only to lose it when their interest rates started to climb uncontrollably. Their lease was up, and they asked me to help them find another rental in the area. I looked at their situation and realized that they would come out ahead as a homeowner vs. paying another landlord's mortgage. They didn't think they could buy a house as they were limited in funds. They were connected with a trusted lender who helped them obtain a VA loan with minimum closing cost. My joy of finally helping them regain their status of homeownership comes second to none.
Why I love my career? The friendships one makes during the home purchase, or selling process is what gets me pumped up every time I sprinkle my real estate dust spells. My past clients have invited me to their renewal weddings. I have been invited to their Thanksgiving dinner. I have been called auntie. Members of my family keep increasing annually. This career is very fulfilling.
I love my career because I have the power to make their dream come TRUE.
Why I LOVE My Job.
