I scream! You scream! We all scream with glee because Dairy Circus is rebuilding!!
Anyone who's been a part of our community for any length of time can probably tell you exactly where they were on the evening of April 18, 2016 when fire took one of our beloved institutions. Located directly across from the high school, it's been a popular spot since 1970. When my family moved here in 1982, it was the place my brother and I rode our bikes to and had lunch (boy did we feel cool!). Through the years I can admit that an ice cream sundae has been more than one dinner after softball games, that their sub platters have been enjoyed at many of our events, and I'll now make it public knowledge that their potato salad is the only recipe for that dish that I get excited for.
It was terrific to hear directly from owner, Robb Clemons, last evening that they were going to rebuild. It has been sad to drive by the empty lot for the past year and disappointing that I couldn't continue to support a hard working family in their restaurant business. I know I'm not alone in wishing them the best & look forward to seeing Dairy Circus 2 rise from the ashes!
