Two favorite tools that help make me a success!
Among the numerous tools we can access in this technology world, I can't ignore the two following systems that keep me on top of my Real Estate business.
GPS Systems
Remember when our cars were filled with pieces of folded paper and thick books, where we had to fight with half torn pages, crumpled in the front seat of our cars, in our search for homes, somewhere within the city our county? I believe they were called "City Maps", or "County Maps" and some "State Maps".
I'm glad those days are over, with the new and definitely improved GPS, where we now can type in an address and within seconds, we are directed right to the front of the home, we are seeking. They come in various forms now, but my first GPS was a "Garmin". Now the technology has reached our cell phones. I know we are not suppose to include our phones in this contest, so I will just stick to the technology that made it all possible.
Who knew, that I could plug my Garmin into the cigarette lighter and instantly have the world at my fingertips, complete with a visual map and directed by a pleasant sounding voice, instead of having to fight with a folding map, that I got at the local gas station.
Looking at what we now have, to assist us in our travel, it's hard to imagine the "Old way" of getting around.
DocuSign
In our fast paced lives today, "time is of the essence", a common phrase used in our Real Estate world. Clients are on the go, as well as ourselves. so it is sometimes difficult to schedule an appointment to have contracts signed. Driving across town, or to the next town can be a headache, without having to be concerned with sending documents across the country.
It was a blessing to have UPS, FED EX and Fax machines available to us, but now, with DocuSign and other methods of E-signing documents, it has made our lives a pleasant experience.
It was a tossup between DocuSign and Zip Forms, as they both are fast and friendly, when it comes to taking care of our clients and our Documents.
I don't know what is in store for us in the future that will make our work much easier, as we watch our favorite systems become obsolete, but I am sure the home buying and selling experience will be changing.
This contest was one that got my thought juices flowing, just trying to narrow the subject down to two of my favorites. Thank you, and I can't wait to see what is in store for us in the years to come!
