National Housing Report - February 2017

By
Real Estate Agent

The tug-of-war between rising National home sales and shrinking inventory is escalating and the pressure is showing in home sale statistics for January. The month topped all other January's in our report's nine-year history with the most sales, highest sales prices and fewest days on the market. It was quite a start for 2017!

Here's the scoop:

1. Home sales increased

2. Sales prices rose

3. Homes selling faster

4. It's still a seller's market

If you are thinking of selling your home here in the Schaumburg Area, please feel free to call me so I can update you on what is going on locally in your own subdivision.  Every month I publish a local report on our sales & activity so you can keep up to date. It's a sellers market here currently & we are hoping that the Spring Market will be terrific.

Lyn, great post, and the real estate markets do definitely differ in parts of our Country!

It is really true & the media makes people forget that what's happening in Colorado is not necessarily happening in our area.

Lyn Sims That is a surprising report since it detailed the downturn of San Francisco home prices. I would have thought the demand was insatiable there!
