Ever wonder "what style home is that?"
We give you a great starting guide here.
We love architecture and all the different styles of homes in this area.
Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. has some incredible architecture to see and tour.
Designed like Paris, D.C. is a romantic and thriving hub with the suburbs of Northern Virginia being part and offering an exciting lifestyle. So many neighborhoods and vibes. Whether it be Clarendon in Arlington, Falls Church by Tysons, Vienna with it's small town feel or the larger estates both close to the Potomac River and D.C. border or furhter south.
The achitecture is so varied and so interesting. Many times I have clients that really can't figure out what type of home they are seeing. It often goes hand in hand with the year built and period. We all have seen those Victorian Homes so popular and built mostly between 1837 and 1910. Or the Washington D.C. Neoclassical and Federal style homes.
Currently builders within Arlington, Falls Church, Vienna and many other towns across Northern Virginia are leaning towards the Caftsman style home, and they are stunning.
Thinking of a day trip? An excursion around our Northern Virginia area and Washington D.C - figuring out what type architecure you are seeing and the period built - is a wonderful way to spend a day enjoying this beautiful area and having fun.
Add a nice lunch and dinner and it will be a day to remember.
