"They shall sit under their own vines and fig trees, and no one shall make them afraid"
Not a phrase I'd heard before, but apparently it's from the new Testament, and was often quoted by George Washington. Often in defense of gentlemen farmers and their farms, such as Mt. Vernon, in defense of them staying home to stoke the fires and feed the soldiers from their efforts, as opposed to being soldier.
It's quoted in the Broadway musical Hamilton, when George Washington is talking about retiring from the presidency and returning to Mt. Vernon for his twilight years.
It seems somewhat appropos to real estate, as well. Everyone should have their own vines and fig trees... and we, as Realtors, are charged with assisting them in that endeavour... right?
