I AM OLD SCHOOL AND PROUD OF IT
"Old School" is not saying that you are old. Far from it... I feel like a spring chicken. Every day, I am trying to figure out what are the latest technology trends in our market. To survive with top producer millennials, I learned a long time ago that I need to bend and be flexible in my marketing in order to pick up the latest tools to serve my clients.
This year, I have a coach that pushes me and keeps me accountable. I don't have so much freedom to do things according to what I already know. I see things in a totally different perspective.
I have daily open minded dialogues where everything is looked at from outside the box. At the same time I am keeping "old school" practices like open house and previewing homes. Yes, I can see the cringes as you are reading my blog...
Who does previewing anymore? Unless you are a newbie in this business, that is so archaic. We have the internet to thank for all the latest photos and videos that market the local listings.
Hear this... my coach said we need to preview 5 new listings per day. (I need to blame someone) Why? Because photos will only present the positives of the listing. Will a power line be marketed? Will an issue with foundation be apparent from the videos? How will you know your market unless you walk and preview the new listings? Don't you want to know your market inside and out? Sure it takes time, and you probably have seen the same floor plan and even the same house, but how will you know if the homeowners made modifications to the interior, or if there is a new dog next door that barks at every fly that envades its space?
I personally always loved previewing. When coach said to preview, I asked 'how many and how often per week?'.
Eastvale currently has 55 homes listed for sale. 10 new listings from the last 7 days and 2 from this past weekend.
From an Eastvale local agent who loves to implement new tools while practicing old school service. If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.
Off to previewing these two new listings in Eastvale CA.
