SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
In Real Estate everyone talks about the Spring being the best time to put your home on the market. In Maryland, many agents have been saying that the Spring Market started in January! Things have been BUSY!! Now that we are closer to the actual Springtime, new listing signs are popping up along with the flowers!
There are lots of reasons for spring being a great time to buy or sell. Here's just a few reasons:
1. Warm weather and longer daylight-better for touring homes.
2. Families with kids in school would be looking to buy and/or sell with the thought that their kids could finish the school year where they are and they would be prepared to move in the summer.
3. Properties show in the best light-green grass and pretty flowers sure photograph better than 2 feet of snow or acres of leaves that will need to be raked!
4. More buyers on the market, more sellers on the market, more competition on the market!
This can be great for sellers if their homes are in good condition and priced right. Get the views on the home and let the price war begin! If your home is not the best in the area, this can mean that buyers will be quicker to pass over your home, figuring that there will be more coming on the market.
It can be good and bad for buyers-more possible options, but more people looking can mean multiple offers and higher prices.
The best time to buy or sell is the right time for you! Spring is here, is it the right time?
