5 Ways to Test Your Client Engagement

5 Ways to Test Your Client EngagementMarketing is an essential part of building any business. Without a clear vision and strategy when creating a marketing plan, there's no way to know if it's been successful.  Client engagement is the secret sauce of any successful marketing campaign.

Here's five ways to test your client engagement.

  •  Audience - Are your social media followers your target market?  Are they people who would be interested in what you share?  If not, no amount of marketing is going to get you the results you need.  Target your posts to the people you want to do business.  These are the people who will want to do business with you.
  • Content - Post content to your social media sites that is interesting to your target market.  Encourage engagement by asking relative questions and providing information they will appreciate.  Take a look at your analytics to see what content received the most comments, likes and shares. Continue to post content similar to what's getting the most activity.
  • Activity -  It's not enough to just get likes and comments.  You need to know why you received activity on your social media posts.  Respond to every comment.  Thank your followers for sharing and liking your posts.
  • Time - Choosing the best time to post on social media or send an email blast is important for reaching the most people at one time.  According to Google, the best time to post on Facebook is between 1 pm and 4 pm with peak time being on Wednesdays at 3 pm.  Posting after 8 pm and on weekend results in the least amount of click throughs and engagement.
  • Test - Run split tests with your email campaigns to see which email garners the most clicks.  Check your social media posts, one at a time, to make sure you're marketing to the correct people at the right time.

By using these simple strategies in your social media and email marketing, you'll see more client engagement.  You'll also be maximizing your marketing efforts instead of spinning your wheels.

Hi Pamela- always good tips for testing our client engagement.  It's not enough to throw things out there and hope for something to stick.

Good points, finding the time to follow through is hard to do, we try to ask how'd you hear about us to most clients. Responsiveness seams to get a lot of votes.

Janine Boulay-Seibert - Asking clients how they heard about you is a great way to see what marketing is working.  BTW - My 3rd grade teacher's last name is Seibert.  Are you related?

All good points.  Market to the people that are most likely to want to buy or sell a home.

It seems so obvious, but yet sometimes its as if we are throwing stuff out there and hoping something will stick.

It's important to use social media, but we have to be able to measure the wins and losses to determine if the time is worth our effort. Good share!

Pamela Cendejas - I have seen consistent 'LIKE' from some - who perhaps is on a spree to like everything on Social Media! It surely does not mean people are engaged with what we have shared.

Thanks for sharing the ACATT for engagement.
