Make The Most Of Your Next Networking Event With My Top 5 Tips

Real Estate Agent with William Raveis Legends Realty Group 30PA1082583

This is part one of a five-part series on Making The Most Of Your Networking Experience.

I know how nerve-racking it can be to walk into a room full of people you don't know and introduce yourself. I have been to hundreds of networking events, and I still get nervous every single time. Each week I am going to give you a tip that I use to make the most of my networking experience.

Tip #1, Have a plan in place before you go. Think about whom you want to meet and some targets. Maybe you can reach out to these people before the event so that when you arrive, you can go directly to those people. You are bound to meet other individuals in the surrounding area, and the conversation will just flow from there.

Stay tuned for part two next, have a great day!

I've never been comfortable at these meetings and would prefer not to attend at all. Reaching out to other people prior to the meeting is a great idea!

I like the idea of reaching out to the people your most inclined to network with and introduce yourself before hand.  I'm not a fan of jumping right in at networking events. This would make me feel more comfortable.

It's a great idea to provide a series of informational video blogs!

Yes, networking can be nerve-wracking and having a plan in place prior to going is a wonderful idea.

What a smart idea to reach out beforehand, just have to be careful to go from there and not hang with them the whole event and miss meeting others. I know I've done it.
