According to The Denver Post, the metro-Denver housing availability is at an all-time low. The area has not seen such low inventory for the past 25+ years.
What this means is, in order to sustain the amount of people moving to the metro area, we are going to have to find more homes and see more home sales and new home construction. There are currently several areas that are breaking ground with new construction.
Close to the Littleton housing area is Sterling Ranch which is in Douglas County near Santa Fe and Titan Rd. This of course will take a while since it is new construction and a large amount of it. If you’re looking for a deal, now is the time to get in. There will be growing pains with traffic and logistics, but if you’re willing, this is a chance to get a brand-new home at base prices. There’s also the former Green Gables Country Club in Lakewood just off of Wadsworth and Jewell which is planning on building 600+ new homes along with stores and restaurants.
There are also other areas of new construction wherever developers can find open land. Again, the time to get in is as soon as possible. Before the prices sky rocket. There are homes that have been completed and ready to move into right now that are at discount prices.
