Three Little Pigs continued and the Clock settings

Real Estate Agent with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services 40CA1147997

From a previous post Wednesday was a very windy day here in the greater Rochester area.

Over 130,000 were without power and many are not expected to get this taken for granted feature back until Monday or Tuesday. Luckily yesterday the Governor came and called in the National Guard to assist the many companies that are here from as far away as Maine to get us back to normalcy.

Luckily being of the older generation we have a fireplace for heating and cooking; and a good supply of wood to keep it going.

The hardest part is not going to bed at the usual time and getting up at the usual time! The last two mornings have been at 5am so spring forward arrived a little early here.

The other hard part is taking the shower and immediately going to the office for another taken for granted normalcy of the internet(that will be complaint of customer service another time).

As clients are in the same dilemna there has been free time to go around the neighborhood and collect the wood that would go to waste to use at another time.

Here is a picture of a pole near the house

Goodness Raymond!  We really need our electricity, don't we.  I hope those without power get it up and running soon.

The heavy winter storms and winds can wreak havoc on the power lines.  Being ready for no power takes some time but is b=very helpful.  We converted the fireplace to gas just for that reason

But then I would miss the workout of splitting and stacking the wood.

Good morning Raymond.  Thankfully we so far have had a mild year weather wise. Snow hit us yesterday with a high of 39, today a high of 53.  It's crazy weather

What a hardship for all. But if everyone is in the same boat it makes it easier to cope. More winter weather is coming.

Oh how I hate losing power....

We got a lot of snow and the wind was crazy, but we didn't lose power. It flicked off and back on a couple of times, but we were lucky!

Sharon Tara The wind storm was last Wednesday and steady gusts over 60mph. Took out trees and poles; almost looked like tornados went through. I'll take a snow storm any day!
