The New Mac Pros Laptops Are Strange Creatures

This is what happens in life. You blink for just one minute and all the technology around you flips a 180. I could not believe my eyes when I walked into the Apple Store. And I was just there last summer after I had left my iPad on the plane and it took Delta 3 weeks to ship it back to me. Who can wait 3 weeks for their iPad? And I paid for the FedX shipping, too. Everyday I called that airline, but evidently SOooo many people leave tech gadgets and computers on the plane that they can't keep up.

It was time for me, though, to check out the new Mac pro laptops. My old Mac Pro laptop pales horribly by comparison and it's been way too long. You can read more in my personal blog today at this link: Apple Made Many Changes With New Mac Pro Laptop.

Good morning, Elizabeth -- I wonder if seven years in tech is the same as seven years in a life of a dog?  Just pondering since I'm not a Mac person.

It amazes me how rapidly that technology advances.  When I worked at the software company, we were seeing a good sized shift about every 18 months. One thing I noticed was that not all "advances" were advances.  There were a lot of tradeoffs.  But overall, we have moved forward.

Michael Jacobs 7 years in tech means everything is obsolete. At least a dog is still alive.

Myrl Jeffcoat Oh, I dunno if it's moving forward when you can't own your software anymore and must pay for it every year by subscription. That's just one instance.

Joan Cox First I am working on iCloud which I haven't much been using. I can see now how helpful that will be when I'm on vacation. I can move everything from my desktop to iCloud before I leave.
