We have all been given a challenge by Debbie Laity to do some spring cleaning of our old posts.
First of all, I think that Debbie used a very good choice of words in Spring cleaning. When we think of Spring cleaning we have ideas of starting working but then finding so many more things that need to be done. This is exactly my experience in doing my AR Spring cleaning. I knew that they needed some work. I just did not realize how much.
When I started blogging I was not using 14 point. Correcting that on my early blogs was the easy part. Some of my first posts looked like an eye chart.
What about pictures? They were not only poor but poorly placed. I replaced most of them with high quality pictures. The pictures did not have links and I corrected that as well. I centered some and used the new feature photo placement for others.
Oh those broken links. I could not believe how links change. I had a different web site before 2013 and the links don't work. There were lots of 404 pages. And now I know how much work I will have when I update again to a new web site this year.
But I almost missed the biggest fix! I realized after correcting a few blogs that I was missing a call to action in my early blogs.
Thank you, Debbie Laity for this contest to help us keep our older Active Rain posts "Active."
