I've been trying to move sellers to listing in February and March..putting one on today and 3 more the first of April..they are just taking longer to prepare and convince to come on now! We have thininventory and they need to be on now!!

Hi Sally and David -- even in areas where weather is not a concern, there are people who still think that waiting until Spring is the best time to list a home for sale.   We're expecting temps to be in the high 80s today even though the official arrival of Spring is still a couple days away.

Gita Bantwal is right. You are so right about get that property on the market now... don't wait, let's get going on the showings. But also, when the national media is blowing the train horn loud headline about a hot spot in CA that is not the local real estate market where your agency shingle swings in the wind, the wrong perception happens. Local sellers that were not thinking of selling suddenly do when they want to list for twice, three times the real value of their property. Tell them the real value, don't tag 'em then tell buyers the property is way way over priced, why don't you slide in an offer Sally K. & David L. Hanson .

Hi Sally and David... anytime is a good time to sell a home, if you ask me. If you're ready to sell, why wait for some artificial time frame. Buyers are always out there and especially when inventory is tight.
