Hi Ed Silva  - there are other options during the year that I have used, but given there are over 100,000 people in Carlsbad this is sure to be totally booked very quickly. I hope to get in myself!

Good morning Jeff.  We have those about two times a year. Getting in to the site is daunting when it happens.

Hi Jeff -- these types of events are a great opportunity to properly dispose of those items around the house that seem to "pop up".   This is a very good localism post that may even inspire some much needed Spring cleaning.

And to think I used to toss batteries in the trash. Now my husband saves them in plastic baggies along with light bulbs and takes them to the city dump. I wish he would clear out all the old computers in the garage, too. We have a warehouse of computers. But that involves erasing hard drives and who has time for that?

Jeff I got some paint and a few other things to get rid of this year, so I am keeping an eye out for when our hazardous collection day is scheduled.

Hi Jeff a great post. I would hate to see people throwing things in the trash that should be disposed of in a better way.

This is always a great idea since most people just put it in their trash cans.

Hi George Souto  - sounds like a plan! We have a service here in town that will pick up paint curbside, but you can also drop it off at different paint stores

And it creates lots of enviromental issues Noah Seidenberg  I'm glad we have the options!

Not a good thing Joe Pryor  The services are so worth it here!
