Chuck Berry has passed away. He died today at around 1PM Central time. Many people say that Chuck Berry was the true innovator of Rock and Roll. So many of the tunes that stick in peoples minds as the roots of Rock and Roll music were written by Chuck Berry.

Just to name a few of the songs he penned include Johnny B. Goode, Maybellene, No Particular Place to go, Roll Over Beethoven, Reelin' and Rockin, Little Queenie, Back in the USA and the list goes on and on.

Chuck Berry became famous in the mid 1950's but the lime light was taken by Elvis and also due to the fact that Chuck Berry had serious legal issues that tarnished his image. RIP Chuck Berry. Your music will live on forever

Noah Seidenberg - Within minutes after hearing the news when it was first announced, I was also sad. All I kept thinking of was, "the day, the music died." He was such a large piece of our American Pie!

What astonished me the most was that he was born the same year my mother was born. Never, in a million years would I have guessed they were the same age. Chuck Berry stayed forever young to all generations!
