Stacy, I think you'll find in the Rain, that many agents also help FSBO's because we realized that IF the get stuck or worn out...they will most likely come to the agent that was nice and helped them, versis those that try to make them believe that can't sell their own home.

We also have a special FSBO service including letting them put their home with pictures on our FSBO website section with a dedicated domain name.

That sounds like a win/win situation. Are you picking up many of the FSBOs then?

Well, I don't advertise the service...it's just sort of finds me.  But when things get slow and work it for a couple of weeks.

NAR reported that 7 out of 10 FSBOs end up listing with an agent.

Another resaon to help them is even if they don't use you for the transaction, you may be able to create a referral relationship for the future.

Yes, can't hurt to build a good relationship. Word of mouth travels fast.

Helping FSBO's also helps you build rapport.  Even if you don't make ANY money from the transaction you may have helped a future client or a great source for a referral.  Not to mention, you never know who you are gonna meet.  That FSBO may be an important person that God wanted you to help.

I agree totally, so many things happen for specific reasons. I have always enjoyed helping people in general, and especially in the real estate market too.
