This picture had me look twice.

Have never seen those before.  Certainly interesting looking.

They remind me of my childhood.  Our next door neighbor had a Chestnut tree on their property, and the limbs would often drop those things onto our yard.

OMG..what a photo! I had to laugh at Michael Jacobs comments..his thought was the first thing that popped into mind! Mr. M would have had a field day with this one.

Those are a sight I have never seen. Chestnuts are not big in my area. I am so glad you shared this. Have a fine Thursday, Joanna.

I wish I had that much hair Joanna Cohlan. Nice picture to smile with! 

Chestnuts, hairy or not are hard to find anymore, at least in this part of the world, right, Joanna? I recall, as a child in upstate NY trying to carve one. I still have a scar on my middle finger from that attempt. Funny that Michael Jacobs brought up Mr. M, as I was just thinking of him yesterday. 

My Japanese friend, Hiromi, was just mentioning how beautifully Japan showcases things in their stores, markets, etc....made me think of you.
