Good morning Joanna, I thought of NYC Chinatown as well. That's a beautiful building accented with pretty large lanterns.

Good morning Beth Atalay and Harry F. D'Elia and Raymond E. Camp and Nina Hollander and Michael Jacobs - This photo was taken in Japan at an old building that was serving as a barn at one point but was going to be converted to a restaurant. I loved the lanterns because they looked like white pumpkins and the ladders leaning on the side of the building were so charming. Do you see the painting of the rooster on the left?

Joanna -- Yes I did notice and once again thought...what would Roger say?
I like the setting, it must be inside. I don't see those handleing a wind of any amount
Hi Joanna - that old barn looks like it will be a great setting for a new restaurant.
Good morning Joanna. The more I see your pictures the more I want to go to Japan.
Joanna,
Love the symmetry of the lanterns and the round shapes. They contrast nicely with the outsie of the building with its rectangular cladding. I saw "restaurant" space prior to you comment. I also love the color. A
That is a very cool photo and those lanterns look really nice! I hope your day is being enjoyed!
Good morning William Feela it is definitely outside and perhaps the lanterns are removable?
Hey Michelle Edwards - I love the symmetry too and yes the ladders are oxidized!
Good afternoon Brian England and Grant Schneider and Sheila Anderson - in the area of design, Japan was really something special. I encourage you to go and thank you Brian, I am having a nice day but recovering from shoulder surgery making it hard for me to type!

Yes, a perfect space for a restaurant Ron and Alexandra Seigel - even in Japan they are using old buildings to create new environments!
Joanna, That is a very interesting building. The lanterns certainly are unique.
Good morning Joanna. We will be using three of them Saturday to welcome our newest member of the family. He's still in the oven, we expect him before the end of April.
Good morning Kathleen Daniels Yes I loved both the building and the lanterns. I like that they are white and really pop and remind me of pumpkins. Do you feel that way as well Anna Banana Kruchten, CRS -those lanterns are so enormous - great scale.
Congratulations almost James Dray - how wonderful for you grandpa! I am going to be a grandma in October!
Fascinating lanterns, and they fit perfectly with the rest of the fascade.
Thank you so much Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington -Japan is all about symmetry!
Enjoy sharing these with you Roy Kelley and Myrl Jeffcoat - I am glad that you appreciate them.
I love to see interesting light fixtures. They can really create atmosphere and complete the setting.
