March 25th 2017 - Become a hero

Earth Hour is today, March 25th, 2017. For one hour we are being encouraged to turn off lights starting at 8:30 pm. This event which started 10 years ago in Australia by World Wildlife Fund was a political statement in fighting climate change. It is now a worldwide event where landmarks and public spaces will turn off lights, and many individuals will hold a candlelight in protest of climate change. The goal is to fight for carbon cuts and more use of renewable energy. 

By participating in Earth Hour, each of us can become a hero and save our planet. This is merely a symbolism of our commitment to conserve, preserve and protect our earth. After all, we only have one planet.  

If we all participate in this worthy cause, we might be able to see what beauty our night sky has in store for us.  Become a hero tonight. The Earth hour will start in Samoa and will end 24 hours later in the Cook Islands. Our planet earth depends on you. So remember, starting at 8:30 pm, turn off your lights. Support the carbon cut emissions programs and support renewable energy.
