In response to Paul Henderson's challenge, I am compelled to share about my life in the midst of beautiful and unique Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
I have only lived in two geographic locations. I lived most of my life on Long Island, NY. I enjoyed the diversity of being able to stand beside a skyscraper or nestle my toes into the beach sand all in under an hour drive from my home. I shall always hold a special place in my heart for New York, my first love. However, seventeen years ago, I was on a quest to find a quieter life pace. One day I was passing through Pennsylvania and suddenly, I made a life altering decision that I would relocate to this beautiful region. A few years later after the dust had settled from my whirlwind move, while driving upon a country road and I was contemplating the magnitude of my decision and I noticed an open field. The ground appeared desolate and barren, yet in the openness, there stood a single rose surrounded by the untidy blades of grass that has remained uncut. To me, this communicated that 'hope' emerges in the midst of what may appear as a mess.
In my heart I understood that life's decisions lead us to the unveiling of another chapter with new adventures to be explored.
I am so thankful to live in an area that is uniquely rich in history, and overflowing with natural magnificence. I have found a place that offers that quieter pace I craved. I find refreshment daily as I pause to watch the ducks saunter unhurried across the grass, or to contemplate the majesty of the mountains.
Life tends to want to hurry us along sometimes. The status quo seems to applaud a wildly busy lifestyle. Yet the tranquility of Carlisle soothes my soul and continually offers the gift of 'hope' over and over and over again.
If you are looking for a Realtor in the Carlisle, PA area, it would be my privilege to assist you.
