How a Positive Mindset Can Create a Wealth of Business
On January 1st, I made a decision that I was going to have a positive mindset not only in life, but also business. Don't get me wrong, I'm a very optimistic person. However, I realized last year, that there were times I let a negative mindset creep in when business wasn't as strong as I wanted it. But not this year, I was going to be positive and grateful even during the tough times.
You see, there is a positive in every negative situation. Maybe it is a lesson you will learn, or maybe it is the door that opens due to the opportunity that popped up. Or, maybe it is just to help you see all you have to be grateful for.
I hear you now, "Yea, yea Tammy, great but what are the results?"
Well, three months in, I'm having the best year ever. After 4 months, I'm not only ahead of any previous year, but at this rate, I'll beat last year by mid year. About a month ago, I had a crazy 48 hours where I had 11 different offers outstanding. Did I get them all? No, but I did get the majority of them.
Now, I don't tell you this to brag. Far from it. I share this only to emphasize what I feel is the #1 factor in my success. I started this year believing it would be my best year, I knock out negative thoughts immediately and I just know in my gut it will keep going.
My customers are "loving" me to death. I've been so crazy busy. But I have loved every minute of it. The best part? My energy and results are inspiring others around me. One younger agent I work with, did 3 jobs all of last year, this year, she is also focusing on positivity and now she might have 3 in escrow at the same time! She is so fired up. Even as a full time mom just trying to work when she can. She is seeing some great results.
Another agent, weaves in and out of positivity. When he is positive, business is booming, then he slips back and things die off, problems pop up. We've talked about how his attitude seems to line up with how his business flows. He is now refocusing on staying positive no matter what. Guess what? Two new contracts in the last 48 hours for him!
Don't get me wrong, it is more than having a positive attitude. It is about DOING SOMETHING, TAKING ACTION. Along with a great attitude, you MUST get off your butt and do something. Make things happen. Go to work!
If you put this all together, you too will kick some major butt!
