take a day off and be more productive

Many realtors work work work and forget to get the day off, because our market right now is very low, but are we really productive enough if we don't take the day off?

I noticed that our bodies are like machines, to a certain point.  If we keep working and working without a break to escape or relax for at least one day or at least half a day, we won't be as productive as if we had a batteries fully charged and start working to the best of our abilities.  It is proven that the more we work without a break, our quality of work is less than when we are rested.  So in the end we will produce as much, if we take a break than if we don't and we will live happier and healthier lives.

So in the end is it worth taking a break to be more productive?

Dennis,

I take off every Monday plus I don't answer my phone before 8am or after 9:00 pm either.  I love my Real Estate business, but I also love my "other"life.  I totally agree that everyone needs a day or two off.

Dennis:  I completely agree with you because I've tried it both ways.  I worked, worked worked never taking any time off and missing way too many important church and family functions until I was almost burned out.  Then I started taking one day off through the week or at least cutting way back on what I do that day and believe me, it has made a huge positive difference.
