Pessimist or Optimist Your Choice

“A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his

opportunities an optimist is one who makes

opportunities of his difficulties.”

Harry Truman 1884 – 1972, 33rd President the United States

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Pessimist or optimist your choice

You have a choice . . . . and you can choose to live in the positive world of the optimist. Or you can spend your life . . . . living in the negative world of the pessimist. The world that you choose to live in . . . . is your choice.

The difference between an optimist and a pessimist . . . . is in your attitude . . . . your point of view . . . . and the choices you make.

The world of the optimist is one of boundless opportunities. To where they look forward to each new day . . . . and the possibilities that the day offers. When they encounter a roadblock on their success journey they reset their GPS . . . . for the best route to get them to their goals.

An optimist encounters obstacles . . . . setbacks . . . . and failure on their success journey just like everyone else. Within their challenges they look for the opportunities . . . . and as a result they will make the best of the conditions that they find themselves in.

The optimist will focus on a positive outcome . . . . and works hard to ensure successful results. An optimist will focus forward . . . . and not waste their life looking over their shoulder at the pass.

A pessimist is all together a different story . . . . they see the clouds on a bright sunny day. They will also see the problems in every opportunity.

When an opportunity presents itself to a pessimist they will focus on the work that will be required to create successful results. They will convince themselves that it’s not worth the effort . . . .  and the opportunity will pass them by.

Life presents you with many choices. You choose the way you see your world . . . . and what that world has in store for you.

It’s your choice on the way you see your world . . . . and in those choices you will make your future . . . . and the world that you live in.

In making a choice . . . . you are creating the stepping stones to your future and in the direction, that your future takes.

Are you a pessimist or optimist your choice . . . . The choice will create the direction that your success journey moves in . . . . and the destination you arrive at.

Good morning, Lou -- whenever possible, and it always is, we can choose to be positive...even in what some may call a less-than-positive environment.

Good reminder to look forward not back and see the opportunity as they present themselves. I often tell buyers when things don't work out on a house, there is a better one coming, we just haven't seen it yet.

Great reminder, Lou!  Sometimes we get caught up in the web of the pessimist and we forget to look for the opportunities that may be present.  Sometimes, it's better to take a step back and look what's ahead of you and make better decisions based on what's ahead of you.  Thanks!

Glass is half full over here Lou. I don't like being around pessimistic people. Too much negative energy that's easily conveyed if you let it be.

Lou, as I pondered your post I was reminded how positive Anne Frank was in a place that others could have been driven crazy and fearful of the unknown. Thank God for those who can make the best of every situation and don't become a burden or pest to others.
