Hooray! It's SPRING!
One of my TWO favorite seasons of the year - the second being Autumn, which is probably my favorite. Those gorgeous leaves and the cool crisp air are a delight. My grandkids and I thrill to the Autumn Ballet of leaves dancing everywhere. Then again, I'm thrilling to the delightful flowers, brisk wind, and green leaves of spring! OK, I admit it. Whichever of those seasons I'm in, THAT's my favorite. And whichever other two seasons I'm in (summer and winter), my favorite is the one that is coming NEXT! :)
Both spring and fall are fun because they have lovely holidays interwoved. In spring, we celebrate Easter, Mother's Day and Memorial Day - the beginning of the patriotic season I love! In Fall, it's harvest and halloween, Thanksgiving, and the beginning of the Christmas season. Sweet delights, indeed.
Of course, they also share something else in common. In Spring, comes the TAX MAN. And in Autumn, if you filed an extension, comes the TAX MAN.
Bet you can't guess what I've been writing about lately. THAT'S RIGHT. Easter and Taxes. Over at RosevilleCaliforniaJoys.com, you'll find Easter 2017 Things to Do in Roseville and Beyond, with links to Easter egg hunts in Roseville as well as the Greater Sacramento Valley, various ways to celebrate Easter with kids and grandkids - with both a fun time and a serious heart. There are even a couple of local restaurants listed for your Easter brunch delights. And don't forget to print out the coloring pages if you have kids or grandkids! (I love to share coloring pictures or word searches for the little visitors at my open houses too! :) )
At KayeSwain.com it was a bit more somber, with Tax Helps 2017 For Boomers Seniors Homeowners and More!. After all, it is about the TAXES. BUT with a happy note - since there's a nice treat from Uncle Sam for us in regards to the date they are due! And plenty of useful info and links for things such as boomers and seniors, medicare, home owners - including those who had a short sale last year AND this coming year, and more! You'll even spot a fave resource of mine for DOING taxes.
And in case you don't get a chance to get over there too terribly soon, here are a couple of fun coloring pictures for young and old (have you noticed that coloring books have become quite the thing for ALL ages from young grandkids on up to elderly grandparents and everyone in between! Tho my senior mom still prefers her wordsearches!).
Happy Easter, Happy Tax Day, and HAPPY SPRING!
Kaye
