Fort Smith, AR, March 30, 2017: In a first for the real estate industry a title company has purchased the Real Safe Agent crime prevention system for an entire RealtorÒ association. Western Arkansas Title (WATS), has purchased the Real Safe Agent system for the Fort Smith Board of Realtors (FSBoR), providing access to the only crime prevention system in the industry to the board’s 500+ members. Lisa Hollomon, CEO of Western Arkansas Title stated, “We’ve always been big supporters of agent safety, sponsoring self-defense classes and the like, but when Regina (Regina Flesher, CEO of Fort Smith Board of Realtors) told me about the capabilities of the System (Real Safe Agent), I knew that I wanted everyone in Fort Smith to have access.”
“My entire family is law enforcement so whenever someone comes to me with safety product I’m very skeptical because everything I’d seen until now allowed a RealtorÒ to react to a crime. Within 10 minutes of seeing Real Safe Agent I knew that it could prevent crime and felt it was our responsibility to make sure our membership had access to the system.” The Real Safe Agent system differs from traditional safety products in that it’s based in behavioral science and uses the real estate community to prevent the behavior patterns of predators from bearing fruit for the predator, as well as denying the predator to environment needed to commit the crime. Carl Carter, Founder of the Beverly Carter Foundation and son of murdered real estate agent Beverly Carter commented “It’s special for me that a city in my mother’s home state is doing this. I think the Real Safe Agent system is a real answer for the industry, I love that it recognizes that we are a community and allows agents to help out other agents to keep each other safe.”
The Fort Smith Board of Realtors deployed the Real Safe Agent system on Wednesday March 15, 2017 to its entire membership, and exceeded 20% utilization in the first 2 weeks.
