Gorgeous Sunday Afternoon in Carlsbad
It was a stunning day today, and a perfect time to take a couple of hours to go just BE at the beach. Parking was a major challenge and the beaches were crowded, so we found a place along the coast road and sat up on the bluff to enjoy the breezes, the views, and the pelicans flying by. And this wizened old tree on the bluff caught my eye!
On the way home we stopped by the Carlsbad Flower Fields to take in the views from the hill above, looking down on the fields and to the ocean beyond. They are in full bloom and the views were spectacular.
