I have managed to achieve success as a Realtor after only a short period of time. Most agents fail their first couple of months in the business. They don't normally commit to it full time, they flap in the win with little direction, and they have difficulty with time management. They also do not understand that prospecting is a key activity over everything else.
I've learned early on that I couldn't just be happy with the title of Realtor and a fancy business card. I had no formal sales experience and no contacts or family in my city or in the business that could help me get a jump start. I also didn't belong to any country club or organization that would be able to feed me leads. I was also a solo agent, not part of a team, that could get the overflow or scraps of a Team Leader. I literally built my success solely on cold calling homeowners and asking for permission to list their home.
I can officially say after less than two years in the real estate business as an agent, I have soared to the top. I persevered, was determined, and had a burning desire to succeed. I learned to be consistent, hard working, and focused on activity as opposed to results or income. Honestly, I didn't care if I didn't make any money initially. I was hungry, and still am, for knowledge. I attended every training session possible. I read everything I could about being a new agent, I motivated myself daily with audio books and podcasts and I tapped into all of the resources my company offered for new agents. As a result, I won Rookie of the Year, Top Listings, Top Weichert listings sold, Top resale listings, Top combined units sold, and Top Resale listings sold.
Yesterday I hired my first assistant and began my pursuit to build a Super Power Agent Team. I'm on my way to greater success and I am enjoying every bit of it.
If you are interested in joining my power team or know of someone with an interest in a real estate career, please reach out.
Thanks for reading my post!
