Home buyers looking for 55+ Community will soon have new option in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Crest of Alexandria off Telegraph Road in Fairfax County has had the coming soon sign up since last August 2016. The wait is almost over for those who are looking for a one to three bedroom condo style home with an easy lifestyle.
The location is ideal for those who are looking to stay in Fairfax County and prefer to stay close to D.C. or Old Town Alexandria. It is just a short walk to Hilltop Shopping Center home of our local Wegmans. And who does not love Wegmans it's so much more than a grocery store!
As I understand it there will be three buildings with a total of 124 condominiums available in the community with first home owners moving in in early 2018. The floor plans have been announced but not the pricing which will come in early May based on press releases I have read. Contact me for additional information.
If you are looking to find a new place to call home for yourself or maybe a parent the time is now to be ready for the pre-sales. I am confident no matter what the community is primed to sell out quickly.
We have such a great need for senior housing in the area especially one that offers covered parking.
So how do you prepare to be ready for pre-sales?
Ask yourself will you pay cash or secure financing?
Can you buy your next home and then sell your present home?
Will you need to do any updates to get your home ready for sale?
How do I know what my options are?
As a REALTOR these are the types of questions we can help with. It is always best to know the answers to these questions before you enter a builder’s office. The sales representatives work for the builder and will be helpful as possible. The key is they work for the builder and in the builder's best interest.
In Virginia we are an agency state and it is always best for the buyer to have their own representation. If it has been awhile since you have purchased a home I would love to meet with you to share with you how real estate sales work and how to position yourself to be a successful buyer and or seller if you have a home to sell.
Knowledge is Power
I find with people who have not purchased in a while,“You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know”, and I would be happy to help you with learn what your options are. Most buyers do not realize when they visit a builders model they give up their right to representation! Did you know that and are you asking yourself, “Why does it matter?” This is why you may want to speak to a REALTOR before visiting a builders model.
Looking for a new place to call home in a 55+ community takes coordination. Maybe you are moving long distance to get near family. Or maybe you have a home to sell and you want to buy and do not know how to make the timing work. New homes are selling quickly but delivery times can be eight to ten months away so how do you make this work? This is where a knowledgeable REALTOR who understands the building process can really help you to keep the stress down. A REALTOR’s fee is paid by the builder and they do not offer you a discount if choose to visit without a REALTOR.
So you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by aligning yourself with a advocate. Having someone to help you with one of the biggest decisions you will make about your future home. Deciding on a new home and all that goes into the build process with selections and contracts and even a loan can be overwhelming. As your advocate I can share with you all of your options both new and resale to help you determine what is best for your specific situation.
I have sold homes on site for builders for over ten years of my thirty years in real estate so I feel I have a wealth of knowledge that can my clients benefit from.
