We moved to Atlanta, for a fresh start and to be nearer to our children. Always the entrepreneur, I got a real estate license, and my heart immediately went out to Georgians who now found themselves in that same boat that I’d been in a few years earlier.
No, I was not in real estate when we lost our home, had never heard of a thing called “short sale”, and did not let anyone know what I was going through until it was too late. This, I now realize, is a common mistake that underwater homeowners make.
