I currently have a couple listings on the market so I thought it might be helpful to share what I do and see what everyone else does to help keep their client in the loop about their listing.
I have a couple forms set up with checklists to send clients with reporting on the listing efforts. I tend to conduct 10 day and 21 day market updates for customers. Below is my checklist of things I complete to help sell their home.
- For sale sign installed
- Flyer created
- Property promoted to REALTORS
- Professional photos taken
- Listed in the MLS
- Virtual tour completed
- Custom website
- Virtual real estate sign - property added to relevant websites
- Instagram postings
- Facebook Targeted Ads
- Facebook Live tour
- Added to REALTOR.com
- Added to Trulia.com/Zillow.com
- Added to REMAX.com
The front page has this checklist (checked off) and attached are all the above items including results. For instance, I would include the Facebook ad with the results (clicks, shares, comments, likes). This not only shows I've put effort into getting their listing out there, but I also continue to push their listing out to increase exposure. They made the commitment to list with me and I want to make sure they feel confident in me throughout the process.
With that said, what does everyone else do? Is there something unique you offer your clients?
