There are a lot of great things to do around Boise next month! Expo Idaho and the Idaho Center have plenty of variety, and the pro sports teams will be in town. Here are just a few that I wanted to remind you of. Put them on your calendar.
Idaho Steelheads home hockey games will be on March 8, 9, 10 vs Fresno; March 21, 23, 24 vs Alaska and March 28, 30, 31 vs Long Beach. Games start at 7:10pm in Qwest Arena.
Idaho Stampede basketball home games March 14, 16, and 17th. Games start 7pm at Qwest Arena.
Monster Trucks will be at the Idaho Center on March 9 and 10.
Do not forget the BIG ONE! The 34th Annual BOISE ROADSTER SHOW will take up all three exhibition halls at Expo Idaho on March 8, 9, 10, and 11. Give yourself plenty of time because this is a huge show with up to 250 cars! My wife and I went last year after dinner one night and it just was not enough time to see everything! We're planning to spend more time this year (and maybe enter our own next year?)...
The 11th Annual Boise Flower and Garden Show takes place March 23 through 25 at the Centre on The Grove. Check out their website for a list of exhibitors, times, and ticket prices.
Another show that seems to require more time than you think it's going to is Boise's Best Antiques Show and Sale at Expo Idaho March 23, 24, 25. Whatever your interests, whether you collect or you just like to look at old stuff (you "used to have one of those" too, didn't you?) this is a great show.
Finally, don't forget Daylight Savings Time is early this year (just when we can see the kids at the bus stops in the morning again, we change the clocks "for energy savings"... hmmm, I'll have to think about that one awhile).
