Stevens Point Good Friday Walk ![]()
There are so many opportunities to meditate on the events of Holy Week. One of my favorite activities is the Good Friday Walk. To commemorate Jesus final walk carrying his cross, we walk through Stevens Point. We stop at 14 various locations to pray for people in need there. Some of the stops I remember from previous years are:
- University to pray for the students,
- the hospital to pray for the ill,
- the fire and police stations to pray for those who help others in need.
- When we stop at Franciscans Downtown, we take a break, to have coffee and visit with the people who are there.
The walk starts and ends at St. Joseph’s Parish. It begins at 3:00 pm Friday, April 14. A very memorable experience to walk and think about all the lives that Jesus has touched.
