If you like music, shopping, good times and especially chocolate… you probably attended the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival on April 8, 2017. If not, you missed a fun-filled day. Chocolate treats could be found everywhere on and around Washington Street.
To prepare our chocolate treat, on Friday, some of the staff at REMAX Vision Quest met at the Lewisburg Methodist Church and made four flavors of chocolate mousse. We had two blenders going constantly. Once the ingredients were well blended, the mousse was poured into small cups, sealed with a lid and marked with the letter for the different flavors...
Bourbon, Amaretto, Raspberry or Chocolate. We made 2000+ cups of mousse.
On Saturday, the day of the festival, as the people started coming in ordering mousse...... we added whipped cream on each mousse cup, and then added: For bourbon, a cherry; for Amaretto, sliced almonds; for raspberry, of course, a raspberry; and dribbled chocolate syrup on the plain chocolate mousse. It was a very busy day and at the end of the festival, we had collected 1,887 tickets.
A cup of mousse was one ticket. Each ticket was $1 each. REMAX was the last station remaining open with chocolate for folks to use their remaining tickets.
REMAX chocolatiers: Rebecca Gaujot, Martha Hilton (Broker), Julie DeLerenzo, and Bobbi Jackson
