Many Hats – But None Bigger Than Trusted Advisor!

We Wear Many Hats – But None Bigger Than Trusted Advisor!

As a Realtor, we have to wear many hats to be successful, but no hat is more important than the one of trusted real estate advisor to both home sellers and home buyers.

For home sellers, our advice usually starts off with advising them on establishing an asking price. I find that most home sellers I meet already know the price they want “as well as” the price they will accept. But it is the job of a professional Realtor to advise a homeowner what the house should appraise for as well as what home buyers should be willing to offer. Setting the selling price is such a huge factor to selling a home successfully, but the advice doesn’t stop there. It is our job to make sure every aspect of the home is ready to go for sale before it hits the market and as a trusted real estate advisor, we leave no stone unturned.

For home buyers, as a trusted real estate advisor we also inform home shoppers about the asking price! It is funny how this whole buying a home thing works. Both sellers and buyers are price-obsessed, and that means it is up to us “professional real estate advisors” to connect the dots, answer all the “whys” and be the glue and voice of reason.

Being an advisor to both home seller and home buyer is without a doubt the most important hat a Realtor can wear. As a trusted real estate advisor we make sure both buyer and seller understand the entire real estate process. From start to finish, we ensure the deal closes, and both the buyer and the seller get exactly what’s promised in the purchased contract and walk away with big smiles.

Not only do we act as trusted advisors, but we also remain responsible for never kicking the can down the road. As a trusted real estate advisor we always consider our clients best real estate interest. And besides assisting sellers and buyers proficient skills, of course, we must always make sure every client is completely satisfied and happy!

We certainly are trusted advisors. As we know, the market changes. It is our job to keep up with changes, whether  documents change, appraisals change, market data changes,  or lending changes. We are the "experts" who our clients trust. And when they have a bgeat experience, not only are they happy but are more willing to refer us.

It can be so frustrating to be hired as an advisor and find the seller doesn't like what they hear when you advise and do otherwise.

Key phrase there: TRUSTED advisor!  It's frustrating when a seller or buyer doesn't trust what you are telling them , especially as it relates to market conditions.

Jon

This post is so right on target. I suspect most consumers have no idea how valuable we really are, and all that we do, until they are in a transaction and need to trust us to advise them appropriately so they can make the right decisions for them. There are, indeed, many different hats, and it depends, too, on the client.

Love that photo! It's perfect!!

I know if I had someone looking for a home in the Long Beach Area I would entrust them to you Jon!  It amazes me when people feel they need to go at it alone, why wouldnt you accept the guidance of an advisor on your side in one of the biggest transactions of your life.
